This is such a typical case of girls with low self esteem. I saw this all the time while interning at a psychologist's office. They think the best way to gain your attention/affection is by doing what comes naturally to women: using their bodies to influence you. It's shocking and often erotic for the "victim" (YOU) at first, but once you get past the initial "gawddam!" phase, it's really quite sad.
What you have to do is show them as much affection as you possibly can, but only when they aren't being sexually "active". Make a big show of it when they do something well. Do whatever it takes to make them understand you care about them for who they are, regardless of their "availability". Too bad you're having to play the part of both the shrink and teacher (or course, that's typically the deal, right?) Your case is simply more extreme. |

Rapier,
Its the age difference that can matter. For example, a 30 year old dating a 16 year old reeks of creep factor.

Wrong! I was 31 when I married my wife who had just turned 15...and I'm not a creep, thank you very much! Tosser! |
Really? |

Ugh...don't play devil's advocate here! What's your real name? Humbert Humbert?
There is no way anyone well into their 20s should want anything to do with a 16 year old. You most likely have different life goals, different hobbies, different friends. I can't see how you would have anything in common with the person. And it's probably more likely that the younger person is not looking at this as fun but something more serious, maybe.
Now, if the person is 45 and the other is 23, OK, fine, go crazy. Even 19, whatever. But no adult should be playing around with anyone in high school. |

I wonder if that statement is as true as you are the guy in your avatar? |

Yeah, the whole concept of "things in common" is bogus anyway ... |

If they're over the age of consent, its legal and ok. Are you saying they should change the law and raise the age of consent and majority?
Women using their sexual attractiveness to gain the attention of men is completely natural and as old as the hills. Its what makes the world go round, and the prime reason relationships happen, and work out or not.
Sexually attractive females don't heve low self esteem, they have too much of it.
If your job as a teacher is to try and prove that what counts in a woman is a brain, you'd only be half correct,- maybe. If you're trying to prepare your students for the real world, remember that out there, looks and attractiveness count to a very high degree. |

Rapier,
Just because you can...it does not follow that you should.
Its called a judgement call and using common sense.

What I am saying, is it freaks me out to hear that a Western guy, who may be teaching these girls, thinks it's perfectly OK to seduce a 14 year old middle schooler. I'm wondering if Charisma Man is just going a bit too far here in Korea.
My job as a teacher is to teach these girls English, and to get them to enjoy English. Ideally, through my lessons, and their exposure to me (though only on a weekly basis) I would also like them to not be afraid of those who speak English fluently. Now, if this means that I get them so comfortable with speaking English that one day, about 5 to 7 years later they are able to have a witty, intelligent and charming comversation with Mr. Backpacker and wind up in a long term relationship (or not so long-term relationship) with the guy, and they can say "My interest in foreigners started with Miss Katydid's Grade One English Class," that's fine. I just want my kids to feel comfortable speaking English with me, because most of them still tend to sweat a lot when they have to answer my "Hey, how are you?"
I have no plans for a Miss Katydid's How to Use Eyeshadow and a Pushup Bra to Your Fullest Advantage class anytime soon, especially in middle school. Stuff like that doesn't belong in a classroom. At least not mine. I don't know what kind of school you went to, but growing up, none of the girls learned from their teachers how to be attractive, save for common sense classes like brush your teeth at least twice a day and try to exercise as often as you can.

| I think it was mentioned earlier by the beaver, there are literally millions of girls in korea that are 'doable,' anyone who is hitting on their students is either lazy desperate or more likely, both. |

But that often means they have finished feminist indoctrination.
I prefer to teach women the feminism they should know. I was educated properly and with truth.
By the way I cook and clean all the time for my wife. |

Fourtantly now that we have finished our feminist indoctrination in the west we are moving our tentacles out further. What you should know is that Miss Katy Did's "How to Use Eyeshadow and a Pushup Bra to Your Fullest Advantage classes" have been cancelled and are to be replaced with 'all men are b@stards' class.
Us females that are teaching at the boys schools are also re educating the boys. Topics such as 'why I am a b@stard' and 'girls are just better' will be covered in depth. They will also be required to read the bell jar/

From one of those feminist universities back home? Never fear! Send them along to Miss Katydid's class. She is a bright lass who graduated from a good school.

.
And so you damn well should. You are of course welcome to attend my feminist supporting males class at my middle school. |
