So what are the pros and cons of each? I know SK has more of the latest and greatest phone models coming out including the Google Nexus and the Droid Razr. SK also seems to have the more powerful models of the Galaxy S2 - the LTE HD (1.5Ghz processor, 4.65" screen 1280x720 resolution). Humble KT's best phone is the HTC EVO 4G.

So does KT or SK offer better 4G service? Which has better coverage??
And why does KT offer such a crappy selection of phones???

I don't think there's much between them. It's really about which phone you want.

Korea is a small, heavily populated country so the 4G service will cover everywhere pretty soon. It remains to be seen who will implement it better. KT or SK.

I'd probably go for KT because I've heard their English customer service is way better than SK's.

Don't know about 4G, but I've had both KT and SK phones and call quality seemed to be about the same. I agree Korea is a small enough country where ever you are you get good service and speed.

There's really not much difference between them service-wise. However, from my experience KT has far better English support than SK. Between the English support lines and the KT Global stores they're far more convenient. They really go out of their way to capture the foreigner market.

I just bought the HTC EVO 4G+. It's a great phone and best of all I get unlimited data usage on my pay plan. Wibro is quite fast in most areas.

You seem to get better public wifi coverage with KT (Olleh) than SK (T-World) unfortunately for me (as an SK customer).

if wi-fi is your game then kt all the way. they've got most major areas of the city blanketed. in fact, for the super cheapskates out there one could theoretically use an ipod touch or the like and just get the kt wi-fi plan for a pittance of a monthly rate and just communicate amongst other cheapskates via skype/other voip apps and kakao.

From my experience KT's wifi has lots of coverage, but the connection is horrible.

Its widely believed taht SK's network is more reliable than KT's. That's mainly due to SK having over a 50% of the market, and thus has had the money over the years to have the more solid infrastructure.

KT used to be the small guy until the Iphone came out, and they grew very quickly, along with experiencing the growing pains.

I've heard KT and SK piggyback on the same 3G network but I have to question this.

Last week at a ski resort I was able to stream the Giants/Niners game on my SK GSII where as my friend with the same phone on KT sitting next to me using the same streaming site had his connection constantly get interrupted. I can always seem to get solid 3G data streams where as his is usually spotty at best, whether in Seoul or on the road. Maybe it's his handset... maybe it's the networks. If you speak Korean or have a Korean willing to help out I'd go with SK based on my experiences. If not, KT seems to be better since they have global stores.
