LOL love Steelrails with his gangster talk about 'Johns' and 'tricks' and snorting(?) heroin. I suspect he is posting from his mother's basement. Dude, if you pull your pants down or start singing 'the good ship lollipop' to 'distract' people from arguing, you are going to get cut up, kicked in the head or robbed. We ain't talking about a frat boy running loose in a college bar.

If you are ANYWHERE in SE Asia and you see locals going at it, GTFO. There is a possibility I would intervene if it was a farang. The guys I knew who got themselves into shit were the type of guys who went looking for trouble or who went to places they shouldn't have. The arrogant drugged up cock wagglers that plague SE Asia like the cockroaches they are.

Hey, I've seen it work before.

Besides its not like you are going up to them and doing this, its about causing a scene that makes them think the cops or paramedics might show up so they take it somewhere else and maybe, just maybe, they lose a bit of steam.

And no, this is not something to try in some ganng-ridden neighborhood.

Conscience dictates that you do something to try and help. Reality says that going in swinging is bad news. What's left but to try the bizarre?

Don't get what?

I wrote "maserialize" on purpose as a nod to Maserial.

As for the hyphenated adjective, it really depends on how the phrase is read, and both can be read in a way that implies either meaning, the first being a fight that made someone stop pooping, and the other being a poop that made someone stop fighting. It all depends on what the reader opts to be the subject in the hyphenated phrase...

Interesting. The two hyphens led me believe that it was, specifically, a story about poop stopping a fight i.e. in poop-stopping-fight story I read it as one adjective modifying the noun, and thus a fight-stopping poop story.

I'm sure we can get an additional two pages of thread on this topic alone.

People are saying "to mind your own business because it's not your country"
so that means if I was in NYC and I saw someone getting his head kicked in by a group of thugs, young gang types or what ever, I should get involved because It's my country?
or what about in Korea? If I see 3 or 4 hardcore big looking Korean dudes, smacking around someone. I should step in? seeing that I now live here?

unless your name is Randy Couture or you are packing a baretta, I really wouldn't get involved.
walk past, call the cops, YES.
get involved? NO,
it really depends on the situation. a guy beating a girl? YES.
two kids fighting? YES, something I think I can defuse.

it really depends. but otherwise. keep walking.
I tend to get involved a lot in bars, or fights on the street. it's just my nature. but I read the situation before hand, see if I can actually make a difference.
reminds me of the narration in Stand by me, talking about Chris when he was older, he was at diner and he broke up a fight and the guy pulled a knife and cut his throat. then he bled to death.
sometimes getting involved can make the situation much worse.
sometimes it can save a life. really need to think before you leap.

Those of you who are of the "don't intervene because you cold get hurt" crowd are weak.

When an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the bastard. That's my policy.

Well, I imagine that Steelrails would have to pull down his Zyzypper before he could drop his drawers and even then, there's no guarantee that fecal Maserial would be produced ...

... Couldn't resist, guys.
