What did teachers say about you in your annual school report?
Any age level, it doesn't matter.
A teacher wrote in one of mine that I spent too much time 'clowning around' in class.
I took it as a compliment. |

has a lot of potential, doesn't apply himself the way he should. distracts other students by joking around, but is great when focused....
sounds a lot like the progress reports i've written for many of my students |

But if you never smiled or had any fun with the students, it would say needs to be more fun. |

Now that you are the teacher, do you prefer students who act the same way you did? |

I am privy to another of fromtheuk's reports. It goes:
He's a real dreamer, looks at his fellow students with distaste and a devil in his eye. They continually pick on him, which I fear may have a lasting impact. He does the strangest things for revenge, which bodes no good. |

No, I don't like awkward students Kwangjuchicken. What goes around comes around.
shifty - That's not in any of my reports. None of my teachers would ever write such sinister comments. |

I see you still haven't worked out your tenses yet.
For all your calling out of other posters with their ESL credentials. |

Who, me??
I used to waylay the letterbox before parents could get at it.
Then sign it myself for the new term.
Sounds like we're birds of a feather. |

My parents would never forget that I had a school report near the end of term.
Unfortunately, I had to give it to them every year!

I have 3 names, two of them have just 2 syllables. They are very easy to pronounce. Even you could manage them.
I referred to the fact that my parents knew when my school report would come out and they would ask me about it. It makes perfect sense. |
