Now, if we look at this, I constructed my comment in the same way I replied to the other person. They stated 2 recruiting agencies, and I replied back with not only two.
Here I am doing the same thing. Why aren't you "correcting" me this time? BECAUSE YOU KNOW NOW. YOU ARE THE ONE CORRECTING YOUR MISTAKE IN READING COMPREHENSION 
He said, "there are only 2 recruiting agencies."
I said, "not only 2."
You assumed 2 schools not 2 recruiting agencies.
I corrected you, we argued.
I set up this little trap
I said, "How do you justify that comment of there only being 2 recruiting agencies?"
Then, I stated, "Clearly there are not..."
Wow, you miraculously comprehend now. Good going. Clearly there are not only 2 recruiting agencies.
This has been a lesson in dissecting a troll (jrwhite82) and showing how they were not genuinely looking to correct anything. Otherwise, why wouldn't they have corrected the same "ambiguity" (it's not even that, if you could read in context, I wouldn't have had to clarify it in the post)?
You took the bait, didn't even last a 2nd round. See you next thread, if you choose revenge.

You changed your post that I was referring to and others that northway and some other people have posted about. 
You even said you changed it for clarity.
So you purposefully misspeak to get people to laugh at you and question your intelligence, then go back and edit it to trap them?

Well, I wouldn't have if people read it the way it was intended. If the other person talked about 2 schools specifically, then I could see where there could have been confusion. However, they never stated anything about 2 of anything OTHER THAN 2 RECRUITING AGENCIES.
If you go to a store and buy pants and shoes, it goes to reason that you have at least 2 shoes or pairs of shoes. You don't need to spell out LEFT shoe and RIGHT shoe (or the number of left shoes and right shoes separately).
You have to clarify it though for trolls because they might think you might have meant 3 shoes. That's how stupid and pedantic you are being, as well as any others who want to continue this crap.

You have the greatest of intentions sometimes. I won't fault you for that. But the delivery is just so.....bad. You are like the geeky guy in a romcom. You try to be romantic by opening your date's car door, but then you crush her fingers in it when you close it. It's just a bad attempt at romance. Funny though. You really don't make your statements clear and are assuming people can read your mind. But guess what, people can't. What you are intending to say is lost in all the nonsense that you do say. I don't see how you conclude that. It's another troll comment to veer away from the posts. You feel stupid now, I understand that. I gave the clarification, I explained my reasoning, I showed you where you were wrong, you demonstrated a change in reading comprehension when I gave you the same thing you mistakenly called me out on, and now you are acting like a kid who refuses to give the right answer but now knows it.
You ever get those kids in class? They see the answer, but they don't want to admit to it. They wanted to be the smart one to answer and know it first, but whatever you do after that to show them the answer, they will play dumb and steer the lesson to something else. Then, they demonstrate they know the answer later on.
I had this high school student who did this last year. I was handing out colored markers. Some didn't know color words, but he did. He would ask for the white marker when he knew that there were no white markers and then he giggled. Then he would say he didn't know colors. That's an exaggeration of what jrwhite22 is doing here, but it's along the same lines.
Do you feel good about yourself jrwhite22? You can be a dick on the forums, no one is going to swing at you.
I really wish you would look inside yourself and ask if it is really necessary to attack others the way you have done and argue on and on over something so small because you decided to step in a conversation 2 other people were having.
I want to be able to make comments publicly without being confronted with your games. I want to be able to make comments publicly without being challenged every time I might say something you can construe the wrong way.
I am not always going to spell everything out the first time, because I hope you are smart enough to grasp what was intended. After I clarify, why can't you just move on? Why do you have to insult the person to feel better because you didn't know the intentions (or you did know them and you wanted to troll and be a dick about it)? |

I meant 82. Simple typing mistake (or was it?), and this shows again how you refuse to acknowledge what was intended. This time, I am not going to "correct" it. You will have to see what was meant and work with it.

1. Being misunderstood could be due to ambiguity or trolls pretending to not understand.
2. A person commented about there only being 2 recruiting agencies.
3. I said there were NOT only 2.
4. A few people pretended/stated they were confused what the 2 meant, 2 schools or 2 recruiting agencies.
5. Common sense would tell you there are more than 2 schools MORE than it would tell you that there are more than 2 recruiting agencies.
6. If there were 2 comments made, one about 2 schools and one about 2 recruiting agencies, then in number 1 I would understand a misunderstanding in ambiguity. However, there was only reference to recruiting agencies as it pertains to the number 2 (quantity 2, however you want to call it).
7. Based on 6, this leads me to believe those that "misunderstood" stepped into a conversation without getting the context. When it was pointed out to them they refused to accept it and we bickered.
8. The issue is done with now. If you want to understand read the whole thread and use common sense, or I will make you look dumb when you pretend to misunderstand.
9. Don't just read 1 sentence and attack it. Attacking a message, not a messenger, means to look at the message in context and then give your point of view.
10. Unless you bring up premises and/or good arguments, I will repeat 8, this issue is done with. Find another playground. I am unofficially locking this thread |
