Has anyone gone to a KBL game at the Jamsil Students Gym in Seoul?
How much did it cost?
Was it fun?
Do tell!

I went to a game at Olympic Stadium. Tickets were about 7,000 each, and I got a free ticket for a game later in the week. It was pretty fun, stadium was only about half full, but I'm a huge basketball fan, so it felt good to see a game. |

I've been to quite a few KBL games. They are low end D-1 skill players. Lots of jump shots. The token foreign guys might dunk a few. It's pretty cheap, around 5-10,000 won. I enjoyed the baseball games at Jamsil Stadium more. The Koreans are much better baseball players. You pay for an area, ie: blue section is 10,000...white section 7,000 etc. The cheerleading stuff at the baseball games get annoying some times. Overall i would have to say its 'okay'. Good to kill 2 1/2 hours. |

Does anyone know how early you can buy tickets before the game starts? Also, is a weekend game likely to sell out? Thanks. |

Moving to SK in February and sign me up for being interested in this. If tickets are only about 7 American dollars I'm down to follow the league. |

Even the expensive seats are probably no more than 30,000. Before the team moved from Daegu to Goyang I sat court side for 20,000. |

It's not ideal but there ain't much else. They used to show some NBA games on TV here in Daegu but not anymore. They will show college games from time to time. |

I'd rather go without than see stupid hoops action. I watch a bit of the KBL on TV and it's so pathetic. |

I'm a season ticket holder and have been for 4 years. It's not the greatest league, but it's still a good value considering the price.
The skill level (and size) of the Koreans and the foreigners has risen a lot in the last few years. Some of the foreigners have been drafted by the NBA and done well in the NBA developmental league. These guys are no slouches.
It's not the NBA, but it's a decent league and an affordable, entertainment option.

The Kites have an American coach who lived in Greece for like thirty years, FWIW. He gave me free tickets for talking to him in a bar. |

I know that things have gotten better in the league since it launched in the late 1990s, but meh. One of the telling things is what players do on the fast break, many Korean players still #$#!! pull up for a jumper. |

What fast breaks? My #1 beef with the league is how EVERY time there is even the slightest fast break, they foul to stop it. And the refs don't call it intentional even though it clearly is. If they stopped those fouls, the league would be a lot more exciting and high scoring. Instead, we get a lot of set plays in the half-court.
BTW, my team rarely pulls up for shots on the break because a) we finish with authority! and b) we can't shoot worth a lick. |
