| In order to travel outside of Korea, Japan for example, after you already have an E-2 visa you must have an immigration card. Is that right?About how long does it take to get an immigration card? |

You MUST (by law) have applied for your ARC within 90 days of your arrival in Korea whether you plan to travel or not. Failure to do so is a violation of immigration law.
Currently it is taking 2-3 weeks to process an ARC. At peaks it can take up to 6 weeks.
Yes, you need your ARC before you can travel or you will cancel your status of sojourn on departure.

| When I last flew back into Korea after chi wok there was a girl who was travelling, she had applied for her arc but not yet received it. She had been given some kind of paperwork from immigration to travel. |

| oh really? So there are some temporary papers I can get to travel before getting the ARC? I'd like to know more about that. |
