You just did.
Listen to what ppl have been telling you from the start in this thread. Drop the drama, and get stuff done.
You can do it. Others have.
Good luck. |
Truth is not exaggeration, even if it is full of 'drama'. But thanks for the advice.
Think someone said it, but if I would of known it was that easy I never would have even made the thread. Stressed over nothing I guess, kinda whack, assuming the D10 is what I got from the simple immi visit. |
You may feel like a puppet at the hands of a money grubbing hogwon owner, but that does not mean WE are.
Try to balance your drama with the truth....it'll help your cause a lot more. |
Your right, and for that I apologize. I should have said thats exactly how it was at my school, and not everywhere. Sorry for that if you took it personal.
It is tough to get your head right around these things when you are in a new country and you have only your experience to base things off of. Ignorance is sure to follow. If you like your job, I am happy for you, and wish you all the best. |

At less than 6 months into a labor contract there is no such thing. |
That's not true. You can still sue for wrongful dismissal if you have been employed less than six months.
You can be fired without 30-days' notice if you have worked for less than six months, but you can't be fired for just any arbitrary reason; there is a list of "Reasons for Disciplinary Dismissal".
EDIT to add:
The OP would have to prove in court that the reason given for his dismissal is without merit. |

So do I.
He appears to have been fired and prejudied against just because he was a guy.
Seems to be a lot of this happening now. If you ain't female then you're a bad teacher apparently. |

I'm going to guess he was referencing the collective "we" and not himself specifically. Anyway, fight the good fight, yeah? |

I get your point, it doesn't apply to most of us currently, but a large chunk of us have faced hard times dealing with corrupt hagwon owners who are enabled by the corruption that exists out there, which touches the vast majority of us. There is a certain attitude that needs to change. Anyway, this fellow is in dire straits if what he says is true. I was lucky when I fought my hagwon owner. I didn't have to leave my apartment. I immediately went to the Labor Board, and I understood that I could stay there. She didn't try to kick me out. However, after a a few weeks I found a job, and I continued to fight her and went to the Labor Board more than once. Finally, she caved in.
Anyway, I hope he comes out okay, and I hope you and your family have a Happy New Year. |

I don't get why he was fired specifically. Something's missing. Where does he say something about him being the wrong gender? Anyway, Western females don't want to come to South Korea as much as foreign males, but with the economic problems in North America and Europe, more females may come. |
