I'm looking for a company that will let me pick a car up in Seoul and drop it off in Daegu...any suggestions?

Also, some companies require an International Drivers Permit but I heard some don't...any idea which don't?!

THANKS (I'm hoping to go on a road trip with co-teachers for lunar new year)

I'm sure the likes of Avis et al will be fine with an IDP but you'd be best off asking the companies themselves. Also there's a surcharge for one-way rentals.

car should be rented by the person that will drive it... if you get pulled over, will you show them the license from your home country? Laughing

I used KT Gumho. They have a completely English website that lets you choose the pick up, drop off locations, as well as which car model and any add-ons you want. You just make your reservation on the site then go pick it up on that day.

Legally you are required to have an IDP, a license from an ASEAN country or a Korean license.
