I have left Korea about a month ago, and in Canada now. Got a HTC Raider cuz I wanted to try out an Android phone (been using iPhone 3GS in Korea). After using it for about 2 weeks, I have decided I'm too old to be learning new technology, and bought an iPhone 4S with no contract.

So, here is what I did. I called my carrier (it's Rogers, if anybody wants to know), and told them there was something wrong with the phone and requested them to send me a new one. And since my phone was bought less than 30 days ago, they gave me a brand new one (instead of a refurbished one). I haven't touched the new one at all. So it's a brand new phone.

Ok, so here's the deal. Since I will be visiting Korea Feb. 6th, 2012. if anybody in Korea would like this phone off contract, I can sell the brand new, untouched phone through any of the following options.

1. If you don't mind me opening the box, turning on the phone and touching it, I can find somebody here in Canada to unlock the phone for you for free, and sell it to you for 600,000 won, and hand it to you, (or ship it) when I get to Korea in 3 weeks.

2. Or, if you are an expert in unlocking phones, and know an easier way, I can sell you the phone for 500,000 won as is.


I think unlocking a smart phone these days isn't so hard, it could cost anywhere around $5~50 bucks, as it seems. (not quite sure, if anybody knows more about this and don't mind shedding some light on the issue for me, I'd appreciate it)

FYI, original price of the phone in Korea is 890,000 won, and in Canada is $574.99 + tax = $649.74

Oh and I have a silicon case for it too
