Hello there,

I recently signed a contract will a different university. The old contract ends on the 28th of Feb and the new contract starts on the 29th. How long before the start of the new contract can I go to immigration to transfer work place?

Many thanks.

You can do the paperwork for the transfer within your last week of employment at the old employer and up to the start of the new job PROVIDED the gap is less than 30 days AND your ARC doesn't expire before the paperwork is done.

For work as a teacher (K-12, hagwan, unigwan)= yes (new MOE requirements - CBC and degree copy with apostille).

For work in a university (lecturer) = no.

For work not related to teaching = no.

I have an F-5 visa and my public middle school called the MOE and they said the requirements are for F-2 and F-4. As for F-5 they stated that the school can request but not required to secure an FBI CBC(America) or National wide CBC from another country.

However the apostille degree is required for all.

Ttompatz your information is great and always spot on. I just wanted to share.

Thanks Again Ttompatz
