I broke contract with SMOE because of a medical problem and had to be hospitalized. How would this affect my chances of getting back into SMOE later on? Say a year or two from now. Or how would this effect my chances at getting into any other ps program?

Depends on the circumstances.

IF they let you go due to hospitalization that was longer than your contract allowed you MAY have a chance again.

If you were sick and just left on your own then you can pretty much kiss public schools goodbye.
