The latest study finds 30.2% of young people will be arrested by age 23.

More and more young people in the U.S. are being arrested for more and more minor infractions and the arrests follow them for life. Like a brand that says 'permanent underclass'.

These minor arrests serve one purpose: to create financial windfalls for the government. Police will officially deny this but they do have quotas for giving tickets. Some jurisdictions keep the fine money to themselves while other jurisdictions send the monies to a general statewide pool. Now which type of jurisdiction do you think tends to write more tickets? I truly believe that raising revenue is the major function of police forces in the US today.

Cops Ready for War

By Andrew Becker | The Daily Beast Wed, Dec 21, 2011

Nestled amid plains so flat the locals joke you can watch your dog run away for miles, Fargo treasures its placid lifestyle, seldom pierced by the mayhem and violence common in other urban communities. North Dakotas largest city has averaged fewer than two homicides a year since 2005, and theres not been a single international terrorism prosecution in the last decade.

But that hasnt stopped authorities in Fargo and its surrounding county from going on an $8 million buying spree to arm police officers with the sort of gear once reserved only for soldiers fighting foreign wars...

DHS Officers Armed With Semiautomatics Set Up Unannounced ID Checkpoint

Staff of Florida Social Security office not informed of drill, Homeland Security officials refused to talk to media

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com
Thursday, January 5, 2012

Residents of Leesburg, Florida were shocked to see their local Social Security office turned into a random Homeland Security checkpoint Tuesday morning, as DHS officers armed with semiautomatic rifles and accompanied by sniffer dogs checked identifications of locals...

Feds continue push to nationalize criminal intelligence data

January 12, 2012 | Andrew Becker and G.W. Schulz

In the latest push by federal law enforcement agencies to nationalize criminal intelligence data gathered by state and local police, Minnesota is weighing whether to link a statewide database with an FBI information-sharing system, despite concerns by privacy and open-government advocates about the accuracy of such data, among other issues.

A task force made up of police, probation officers, judges, public defenders and other members will make a final decision next week on whether to recommend to the Minnesota Legislature that the state participate. Several agencies in California already belong to the program, known as the National Data Exchange, or N-DEx. The program became fully operational nationwide last summer...

Boston Bruins Goaltender Releases Statement Explaining Absence From Obama Meeting

Quote:
Thomas statement on White House absence (via the NHL)

"I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.

This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.

Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.

This is the only public statement I will be making on this topic. TT"

Well done. We need more high-profile people to start speaking out in the hope that the sheeple will eventually pull their heads out of their collective ass and realize what's going down.

The TSA is nothing more than an instrument of Facism. Completely unnecessary waste of money that achieves absolutely nothing for the average American citizen. A part of me wonders if its really coincidence that Sen Paul was targeted for a "random" search.

U.S. Press Freedom Fell 27 Places Last Year to 47th in the World

Reporters without Borders wrote:
The crackdown on protest movements and the accompanying excesses took their toll on journalists. In the space of two months in the United States, more than 25 were subjected to arrests and beatings at the hands of police who were quick to issue indictments for inappropriate behaviour, public nuisance or even lack of accreditation.
