Hey guys,

I promised a friend I'd take her out for a good steak and wine dinner. I'm pretty picky about my steak, so I, by no means qualify VIPS or Outback as a "good" place to eat a steak...

Anyway, if someone could recommend me a place in northern Seoul, preferably Samcheong-dong (but doesnt have to be), it would be greatly appreciated.

We usually end up drinking in 대학로, so i'd prefer to stay out of Itaewon if possible.

Wood & Brick isn't exactly a steak restaurant, but I've had a few nice steaks there. They specialize in Italian and have a decent wine list as well, or they did the last time I went two years ago.

The website is down, but if you decide to go, you'll probably want to hit the Jae-dong location out of sheer convenience and proximity to both Samcheong-dong and Hyehwa. The new one in Seongbuk-dong is probably pretty nice, but could be difficult to get to unless you can drive or are willing to take a taxi.

That's the best I could come up with in the general area you specified.
