| Seems to be (and seems to be the preference of most Americans I meet, in all honestly) any combination of a meat and melted cheese. |

| As Anthony Bourdain says, American food is whatever is being cooked by whoever is cooking at the moment, in whichever city you're in. |

| I am sure KFC would count as American food. Although I have only had Kentucky Fried Cat in Korea, I know it started in USA. |

What is American Food?
Utter delight, leading to a desperate attempt to cling to the initial joy with overindulgence followed by feelings of shame and guilt. |

Rats in NYC is no joke. Around 5-6am when the sun is just coming up, you can see them all over the place. |

Be careful. I have heard that Americains (one was my great grat grat aunt who lived to be 111, eat frog legs. What is next?
Oh, and when I was still a chick I loved the TV show Taxi. In one episode Balski (sp?) is in New York talking by phone to his mother back in whatever country he was supposed to be from. And he said, "Americans are crazy, they keep dogs as pets and eat chickens? |

| Even worse is any idea of Canadian food. What do they eat? Mostly the same as Americans I guess. We do like our potatoes though. |
Seal flipper pie, salt cod and pork scraps (or cod tongue and scrunchions), tourtiere, dulse, fiddleheads, salmon jerky, pemmican, caribou stew, bannock, peameal bacon, maple syrup, nanaimo bars, beaver tails, partridgebery, off the top of my head.
Depends on your ancestry, though.
Venison and caribou are delicious. So are arctic char, salmon, and rainbow trout.
If I go down south, I'll want some pulled pork, hush puppies and sweet potato fries to start off with. |
Are you a newfie? lol |

G'wan, b'y. Lived in the maritimes for a while. Know a lot of newfs. Good people. Have totally avoided getting screeched in, thankfully.
Will be heading back to the Americas soon. Looking forward to the venison, turkey, and salmon. |
