It's weird, because my grandfather and I are the only ones in the family who like Manhattan clam chowder with loads of black pepper and reading about the Civil War. My other grandfather and I are the only ones in the family who like licorice. My family's quite large, but I'm the only one in 2 generations who also likes these things.
The first grandfather loves hunting, though, and nobody else is keen. He used to go to Alaska and Canada to hunt moose and caribou, and would come back with a lot of meat, which he'd either freeze as steaks, or make into sausage. |

I pride myself on being a hard-worker, but man, my grandfather seemed to really enjoy manual labor. Shovelling snow, mowing the lawn, raking leaves... |

My mum's dad liked to watch bowling. Not go bowling, watch it. Who the hell enjoys WATCHING bowling.
Floating World, my FIL loves watching cricket. Tries to talk to me like I care.....oh, hell no. My dad can't even interest me in talking about sports that are actually televised in my own country. |
