Quote:
If you took the time to really read my posts you would see that I do not seek to justify or excuse everything here. Far from it.

Yes you do, and it's just about all you do on here too.
Quote:

Its not a lack mate its a differenc spatial awareness...

That's pure apology at it's best ( worst ) and a basically meaningless statement. There are no different kinds of spatial awareness, you either have it or you don't.
Quote:

no, it is a reponse to a statement that said that Koreans had no spatial awareness and that therefore they were somehow inferior or retarded in that respect.

No one suggested that they were retarded. Inferior about spatial awareness, yes.
Quote:

Now, what I said peemil was not that Koreans do nothing wrong here.
What I said was that they have a different spatial awareness and that this is a result of the conditions they live in.

...

In this case it means that Koreans tend to consider personal space (i.e. spatial awareness) in a different way then a Canadian or an American would.

It has nothing to do with conditions. People in other equally crowded places such as NYC have very very good spatial awareness and you'll hardly ever have the same bumping and rudeness there as you do here.
Quote:

This does not excuse or justify anything, it provides an alternative explanation to somthing.

It is a clear attempt to excuse and justify, but it's not rational, so it is not an alternative explanaition.

How do you breathe with your head up there all the time Homer?[/quote]

Kiwi, Homer,

Re: spatial awareness of the locals

Kiwi: It's wrong!

Homer: It's just different!

Leslie: Okay, okay, shutup! You're both right...it's both different and wrong.

Just curious, would anyone miss soju? Maybe the cheap price only? Why buy it in other countries if it is expensive?

It is awful stuff, it should be cheap.

It is cheap in LA. You can buy a bottle for as low as $3, but hey, I agree. I wouldn't go out of my way to drink soju unless it was with ajussis (wait, I'm an ajussi!).

Oh bollocks!

Jeez... I'm sorry. Koreans are always right... You know... They are just so badly done by... What's this... It's the smallest violin in the world and it's playing a song for Koreans.

Quote:
thanks for showing class...or a lack of it.

What just because someone says how it is without beating around the bush?

Quote:
Haven't got my head up anyones arse thanks.

I think you do.

Bollocks Homer. Talk school girls walk along the road and get hit by a tank. A tank. Hello Shocked ***** move out of the way for God's sake... Different awareness. It's not. It the same ***** different day.

You see them every single day. There is not a day that goes by and I don't have to beep the horn to move some dumb arse out of the way of my vehicle. Walking along... Blissfully unaware sucking on an ice-cream, talking to their mate. It's the Korean mindset. I exist- You don't. You can't justify this. No matter how hard you try.

Walking around the shopping centre. Bang. Another old woman into the side of me. Bang, dumb school girl begging for a tank. Wanna call this retarded. Why not? That's a good word for it. No where else in the world are you going to get this crap. London is a pretty busy city. Do you have to worry about some guy jumping in line in front of you. No. Because they have manners.

Yes manners.

You know. Those things that Koreans left behind. No. They stand in line. And wait. Like the rest of us. And they don't even need a sign, or some stupid idiot in a hat to tell them so. They just do it.

Why? Because they have manners. They are civil. They think.

Unlike this mob. Rack it up to different spatial awareness or whatever... But the bottom line is these people have no manners, no concept of civil society and no idea about anything outside their little bubble.

Bollocks Homer.

Now that just shows a total lack of basic common logic and is quite indicative of how you see people here...nice.

What Korean world are you living in? It's gotta be a parallel universe.

A. Where did it say I was being racist?

B. I'm not puking anything.

C. Where the hell do you get off saying I give foreigners a bad name?

Look. I just say it like it is. A bad apple is a bad apple no matter how it shines in the light.

Sorry, Homer, it's not a teenager mindset. Even in my worst teenager days I never felt I could defy common sense and challenge motor vehicles on their own turf...the asphalt. Hello!

Not to mention quite a few chronically-complaining Canadians with little or no skills to speak of who have to constantly remind people that they aren't American, that they're morally superior to Americans and the like.

Brilliant! Except that teenagers in other countries don't walk all over the road expecting cars to get out of the way. Nice try, try again.

I never said the Korean spatial awareness was "wrong", and I said it was "substandard" or "insufficient" ... and that's just a statement of fact. Like I said before, nothing to do with environment. NYC, London, crowded places, but people don't bump into each other. Why? They have good spatial awareness.

Homer, you're wrong as usual, you must be getting used to being shown up by now.
