I've tried calling the number they have listed on their website but it just goes to a recording. I've tried all #'s I see on the website I think, but can't seem to get through to a person. I want to check the status of the apostille on my FBI background check. They received it January 20th according to my UPS tracking. Anyone know the number to talk to someone that can check the status, and/or when I can expect them to mail it out? Thanks.

Try this number: 202-663-1848
remember that they are on Eastern Standard Time.
You have to make your call late in the evening or very early in the morning.
Hope that this helps

Thanks. Hmm okay I tried calling that number and just got the recorded thing when I called it (around 9:30 pm here i think so 7:30 am EST). I'll try it again tonight though, maybe my mental math/days was off. There didn't even seem to be an option to press to speak to a person though when I dialed it.

just as your senator or congressman can help expedite the FBI check, they can help you by calling the apostille people.

If you're worried about not getting the destination time correct, you can use the worldwide timer server. I've used the site for years and it saves a lot of worry.
