Aside from the staff being rude and the food being over priced, I think the concept they're going for is a little strange. Is the gigantic burger that is so ridiculously big that you can't pick it up and eat it like a burger the new thing? I hated having to use a knife and fork to eat my burger and in the end I felt like I ate a meat salad.....yuck.

Two big thumbs down.

Can people figuratively believe things?

If I were to say yes, would you believe me?

Metaphorically, maybe.

I'm a fan of Chili King because not only are the burgers decent-sized but the owner is a really cool guy to chat with. I had the Mega Mac a couple weeks ago and I thought it was pretty good, quite expensive though. Nothing beats the days of high school when Whoppers were $1 and you could get 2 Big Macs for $2!

Since we're talking about burger joints, I've been really impressed by one called Smoky Grill. They've got a place in Mokdong and it's really good, reasonably priced grub. Burgers run between 6-8,000, fries for 2,000, and soft drinks are free with a burger. The patty is good, bun is decent, and they've got some nice sauces on a couple of them- an In-N-Out style dressing as well as a spicy sauce. Toppings are fresh and the cheese isn't bad either.

Basically exactly what I want from a burger place. Never been into gourmet burgers; seems kinda antithetical to me.

Where is this place in Mokdong? I've never seen it and I would love to give it a try.

if it's the one i'm thinking of, it's a bit of a ways down the street from the sbs building towards sinmokdong station. same street as the drive-through mcdonalds if you know where that is.

i used to live there about a year or so ago and it had just opened up then. when i went, it wasn't anything special, but maybe they've stepped up their game a bit.

I'll play. McDonalds opened one of its first franchises in Canada just down the road from my high school (late 60s).
Regular burger 20 cents, cheeseburger a quarter, fries 15 cents.
