강남역 exit one walk straight. Take a right at the first large intersection, you'll see it on the right.

| Yup. TJ called it. Exit 1, walk for about 5 mins to the first set of light, turn right (don't cross). Then walk for about 1 minute and its on your right. It's below ground, so it doesn't have much of a face, per se, but you can see the signage and the entrance...and then you'll be amazed by the size when you actually go down into it. |

| I recommend "feast" I the Sindorim D cube city Sheraton! Cheaper than the other options so far but with a fabulous view (41st floor), excellent food and service. By far our favorite and relatively new with a German head chef. The desserts were my highlight- so many amazing choices and a chocolate fountain with macaroons to dip in! They had a wonderful variety of food including carved meats and a sashimi bar. |

| The reviews I read stated that Makina is just kind of an inferior, more Korean version of Todai. Thoughts? |

Been to Todai in Meyong-dong and though it was slightly lower than Bono Bono (for quality). I felt that Makino Chaya was better quality than those other buffets - especially for the cost. |

I have never been to a hotel buffet. The closest thing I have been to is the buffets at Bono Bono or Marche. Both of these absolutely sucked. I couldn't help thinking that my 30k or whatever would have been much better spent on a nice meal at Zelen or one of the Brazilian meat places, where my food was actually prepared fresh for me.
Are hotel buffets really that good that they're worth 80k? For that money, you could get an amazing French 6 course meal with a menu that changes every day based on what's best at the market at A Table in Samcheong-dong. Plus wine.
What is so good about these buffets? I'm honestly curious! |

| I'd second the W, or Hyatt. The latter might be better choice because of its proximity to other places you can go to after dinner. |

if you hated Bono Bono for 30k, you'll be disgusted with the Hotel buffets for near 100k. |

So, what's the attraction of buffets? Is it the variety of food on offer? I guess they are good for big groups because there will always be food that everyone likes.
I'm not trying to be snarky. I'm genuinely curious about what attracts people to buffets. |

I'm not sure if you'll read this since it was so long ago, but what attracts me to hotel buffets is the quality and quantity of food. Buffets almost always have lots of food, but it's lukewarm in steam tables rather than fresh. At hotel buffets, everything is fresh, there's lots to choose from, and the quality is excellent. In my experience, anyway. |

Yes, its excellent. And although pricey, you pretty much get what you pay for. |

Not a hotel buffet, but Marisco is reliably around 30,000 and serves much the same stuff. YKnow, lightly braised tuna, salmon sashimi, steaks, etc.
There are plenty of unlimited wine and beer places to go for 10-11,000 if you just search around Never. There are unlimited cocktail bars for about 15,000 spread around Seoul.
I'm more of a low class buffet type of guy because I fast and then eat at a buffet every single day. This avoids cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, garbage, etc. I do enjoy the occasional hotel buffet or something for a treat, but usually go for a 5000w hansik buffet or 9,900 Korean BBQ buffet on the daily. |
