I'm due to move to Anyang in about a month and I was thinking about getting my hair straightened before I go/once I get there so that my ridiculously wavy hair will be easier to manage.

J/w if anyone has gotten one at home or in SK and can tell me how it held up.

Your thread title made made me think you were wondering if a brazillian wax job would be able to handle Korean humidity.

It'll be fine. And many salons here do it as well, it's called a magic straight perm.

Not sure, but it's probably legal in Nevada. Also, it looks like the OP's question has been answered Very Happy

Yes it will. My hair is very frizzy and I constantly struggle with it. I had one back home and spent a week in Malaysia which was very humid. My hair was sleek and withstood the crazy weather just fine. I came back to Korea and my hair was still frizz free and managable.

Brazilian blow out and magic straight are not the same thing. My hairdresser told me they were not allowed to import the Brazilian blow out products.
