I've been waiting for my visa issuance number for over two weeks now. I'm not worried because I still have another two weeks til I have to ship out and I know I'll probably get it this week. I just want to buy my ticket already! I can't believe this process is almost over. Feels good.
What do you think is the longest immigration can take?
Cheers to everyone who is at the point I'm at now. |

Kimmi takes 4-10 working days AFTER it lands on their desk.
(Longer end of that scale at this time (beginning of the school year) of year since many more applications than the monthly average are being processed).
You can add to that delay the time it takes to get from the recruiter to the employer and from the employer to Kimmi (running around time and sitting on the desk time).

Thanks. I think they've had it for that amount of time. Should be any day now then. |

I'll post this here so I don't clutter up the board...
Ive got my visa number coming soon...if I go to the consulate to get my visa (as opposed to mailing it in), does it all get sorted that same day, or does it take longer to get that little visa sticker in my book. ..It's not my first time with this visa so I don't need to do an interview. |

I dropped off my passport and had to wait a day to pick it up. This was at the San Francisco location. Every consulate is different, but should be faster than shipping. |

Last time we went, my boyfriend got his done in New York. We dropped it off and picked it up the next day.
I got mine done in D.C. and I remember it taking two days or something like that but I don't remember for sure.
I live in Miami so the closest we have is Atlanta, and that 14 hour drive is more expensive and more inconvenient than paying $150-$200 to fly to New York or D.C. It's a pain, but whatever. |

Got mine done twice there. First time was same day (I needed it that day though), second time applied on Friday, picked it up the next Monday afternoon. |
