So I have3 recruiters talking to me, HSK, TEacher TEch and ESL Starter....
ESL starter is for EPIK....What is everyone's opinion on Epik(I'd be going for fall)...
HSK anyone have experience with them what about Teacher Tech?
Should I try for Private or Public schools? Pro's/cons?
I have a Bachelor's in Communications and a 100+TEFL cert, what should I be looking to make?
Thanks, EL |

Side note: ONE of the recruiters in your list is noted for requiring a fee.
A fool and their money are soon parted. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER pay a fee for a job in ESL/EFL.
As to wages: fresh off the plane (in Korea) you can expect a salary of between 2.0 and 2.2 million KRW.
As to the pros and cons of each.... newbies should be required to read the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) before they are allowed to ask things like, "how high is up".
That particular question has been asked and answered about 1000 times over the last 9 years (AND is covered in the FAQs) and has not changed in all that time.

DON'T USE HANDS KOREA.
They suck.
They lied to me and put me in an awful, nightmarish situation.
They also accused my friend of trafficking marijuana into Korea when all he brought back was some tobacco. He had to go through all this BS with the police.
Screw them. |

I haven't personally gone through HSK or ESL Starter but I know people who have and they are legit. They may not be able to meet all your demands but if you're flexible, they can find you a job in Korea as good as any other.
I used Teacher Tech for my first placement in Korea and Madeline was great. She answered all my questions, set me up with a teacher at the school to talk with before I committed and even helped me when some issues came up with the school during/after my contract. I'd recommend her to anyone! |
