|
|
My girlfriend just figured out that our apartment is billed as an office instead of a residence. This has resulted in utilities being over 300,000 combined during the extreme weather months.
Does anyone have any information on property zoning and/or is there anything I can do to change it? One visit to the place would make it clear that people are living there, and it's also clearly designed to be lived in. |

Isn't the electric bill for offices a lot cheaper than the bill for residential use? You must be using a lot of power and gas if the bill's 300k won (either that or it's a big apartment) |

Isn't this the case with most officetels? |

Yes, it's an officetel. That 300k probably also includes your monthly fee (security and so forth). |

Believe it or not you are SAVING money having your place registered as
An office. We live in a new styled "apart-tel". Our bill for December was 700,000won. But we weren't alone in the high cost. So many units received high bills they changed their registration to office in January. This was posted in the elevators for people to see who was changing to the lower rates.
Maybe it's time to rethink your style of heating and wear more sweaters or turn the heat down or off while you are gone. |

I get all my bills separate. The 300k is for only gas and electricity. I don't think I use a lot of electricity (although I do have a full size fridge), and i KNOW I don't use a lot of gas. My apartment is a 1 bedroom (i.e. also has a common room). Its not particularly huge, but it's definitely bigger than the average teacher apartment. |
