|
|
Hello.
My hakwon is making me recollect all my visa documents because they said that Korea has passed new visa laws. I have friends who also work at hakwons in seoul and no one else has heard about this...
Does anyone know any details? Or is anyone else being required to recollect their visa documents?
Thanks for your help |

It sounds like your boss is out of the loop.
If you have already provided a national-level apostilled CBC and diploma then you're fine. Although if you're at a public school then your POE might want copies for their own reference. |

Not immigration or visa related. It is for your registration as a teacher at the MOE.
You can get K-immigration issued copies that are sufficient for the MOE.
It will cost you a trip to immigration and 300 won per copy.

Anyone familiar with a new requirement to get fingerprinted by immigration if you are already mid-visa on a 12 month contract? I'm in a public school.
Hopefully I didn't miss the memo!

they'll do it the next time you are immig for something, takes around a minute to do as its all scanning.
sure beats the days of having them done the old fashioned way (back in the 90s you were fingerprinted when getting your arc) |

So if I don't need anything from immi and I leave SK in 6 months I don't have to make a special trip? |

8 months a member and 3posts. New record low.
Yes somethings have changed. You are the about the 200th person who has asked this question in the last 2 months. Plus adding another useless thread.
Here is a big hint keep up with the new changes in Korea by
READING ESLCAFE.COM OR WAYGOOK.ORG MORE OFTEN!
Spend 15 minutes a week, skip reading the latest ceubutard news or sport team score and highlights and peruse this board. You might learn some interesting things.
Just a little bit of reading will keep you up to date on what might effect your life, pocket book, and sanity.
Excuse my I now have to go bang my head against the wall to stomp the violent thoughts I am getting. |
