Hi folks,
I noticed a lot of people here are doing an MA.

I'm getting set to publish my Master's thesis, and I'm looking for general advice. Anyone had trouble meeting the formatting regulations due to not using the hanguel program, constantly altered guidelines, general confusion etc??

I've done everything (but still editing) on my mac using adobe and open-office, and I'm worried about last minute hiccups transferring the format. Share your horror stories, frustrations, and any and all advice ~~~thanks

I haven't written my thesis yet, but a few of my friends have. They just wrote it in Word and didn't seem to have many problems. They got help to write a 1 page summary in Korean and the rest was in English. From my experience, the thesis formatting regulations seems considerably less strict than the formatting regulations for journals. This will of course vary from uni to uni. Come to think of it, my uni back home hardly had any format regulations either.

I printed my thesis last month, I wrote it all in Word and had some Korean friends help with translating the abstract into Korean (국문요약, which went at the back of my thesis after the references). My university keeps electronic copies of thesis for future reference and one of the trickiest steps was uploading my thesis to the electronic library system (which was all in Korean)

Overall formatting issues weren't a major problem, good luck with it
