Hi all,

I'm looking to find a puppy and wondered if anyone could give any pointers. I am very hesitant to buy from a pet store as I know all about the puppy mill industry etc so this is not an option. Before anyone pushes the adoption route, I think adopting a pet is really great and I am open to it. However, my family and I really want to experience watching our pet grow from being a baby; training, ensuring he/she is fully looked after; happy, healthy and loved from a puppy until old age.

I just wondered if anyone knew any reputable places or genuine, caring breeders to look into?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Animal Rescue Korea and other groups do often get abandoned puppies (even whole litters) at times. We got a 2 month Maltese from a woman who runs an independent animal shelter in Gyeonggi-do and he's still with us 3 years and 2 countries later. He was very healthy and young enough to not have psychological scarring from being dumped.
At this point I think were she faced with a Sophie's Choice style decision the wife would probably even take the dog over me, lol.
Disregard if you'd like, but it may be worth checking some of the facebook groups to see what's available.

I agree with the above post. Check out ARK and if you have Facebook, check out the group. They are in need of volunteers as well as foster homes and adopters. Surprised

Thanks for the comments. I've been checking the ARK listings out quite regularly. Do you have a link to any of the facebook groups?

Talk to your vet. I got my dog at 4 months through my vet because the family who bought him from couldn't keep him any longer due to an unfortunate situation. Also, your vet might know of any unwanted puppies or young dogs at the local pound. My vet volunteers at least once a month at the pound and has taken in pure breed, healthy, young dogs and cats and tried to find home for them.

Someone else is posting that they have a
"Chocolate Apple Poodle for Adoption." User name: Triban and it says location near Suwon station.

Maybe try talking to that user?
