If I've left Korea before getting my ARC, when exactly does my E2 visa expire?
I have a 13 month multi-entry visa. |

Should be 3 months from date of issue in that case. |

I thought since I went to Korea and didn't get it cancelled on the way out, I have to wait a year before it expires? |

Nope. That's only if you get an ARC.
Your visa should have 2 dates in it with a 90 day span between them.
What happens is this. When you get the visa stamped into your passport you have 90 days (3 months) to go to Immigration and get an ARC card which is the document that gives you the year (13 months now). |

Now I'm confused because in my previous post I asked if it will expire without getting an ARC and I was told only my re-entry allowance would expire and my E2 wouldn't end until the expiration date.
I wanted to get a new E2 in about 6 months but didn't know if it was possible or if I would have to wait the 13 months. |
