Is wart remover (preferably the liquid salicylic acid but any kind will do) available to purchase in a pharmacy without prescriptions? I don't want to go in until I know for sure. |

Ugh I caught one from taekwondo. The acid stuff didn't work. I tried it for months. Finally, I used apple cider vinegar on a tiny bit of cotton, covered in duct tape. I changed it every night after my shower. I also clipped and buffed at it. Finally, it turned black and I was able to remove it. Then, I kept a piece of duct tape on it for 3 weeks (changing it weekly,) to ensure that any bit left over died.
That worked.
I had one when I was a kid, and had to go for surgery 3 times, and it didn't work. Then, my mom tried apple cider vinegar. Don't confuse that with the apple vinegar that you find at Homeplus. I had to order this stuff from iherb.com.
Oh, to answer your question: it's non prescription. In a country with bare feet being the norm, warts are really common. Ick. I ended up buying taekwondo shoes, and always carry sock/slippers in my bag. |

I have an idea for you. You don't need to go to a pharmacy.
1)Go to Home Plus.
2)Buy Apple cider vinegar and garlic.
3)Buy some kind of gauze and some kind of plaster/band-aid type thing or just hold cotton into place.
Do this at night for many days. The apple cider vinegar will kill your wart. The acid is painful and sucks. I didn't find it effective back in the day. I remember a cheap remedy from China town in Montreal was better and so was apple cider vinegar.
Do this at night as apple cider vinegar can smell. I mean do it at home.
I'm not making this up. Look it up. Keeping garlic on there can also help. |

Consuming apple cider vinegar in the morning can also give you a boost of energy, particularly before a hard workout or athletic competition. |

I have a supply of ACV in a jar with mashed garlic in there. I occasionally take sips of it through a straw. It keeps me very healthy. |

My method included apple cider vinegar, a bit of buffing and trimming, and duct tape. Seriously, it works. I've had to do it a few times here. Once from a restaurant, then once a year later from taekwondo. Now, I never go out without a pair of slippers in my bag. |

Umm... did anybody go to the doc to take care of this? I hear they freeze it, burn it or something rather painful, but it's gone right away, and you don't have to mess with it for days/weeks/months. |

Don't you know that going to the doctor is too complicated? |

I went to the doctor. I had 3 surgeries. 3 expensive surgeries. It kept coming back. Apple cider vinegar and duct tape killed it. |

I second the doctor. Liquid nitrogen and a razor - they freeze and cut it, and it's gone within the week. Yes, if it' a deep one, you might have it come back, but generally in Korea they will tell you to come back in about a month for a second treatment.
It shouldn't cost you more than 50k at a large hospital - less at a local doctor that has the supplies. Do know that it will hurt like hell for about an hour or so afterwards, but I'd rather do that then mess with it for weeks or months with tape on my hand. Just my two cents. |
