SSAVAGE4 i really know EXACTLY what you are going through! I have been going through the exact same problem lately. I had my CPIC done at the local police station and then immigration rejected it and RCMP refused to help me because i was "outside their jurisdiction". I ended up losing the teaching job i had because there was a set start date and I was not able to get the criminal record check issue sorted out. I went to my local MP to try and get this issue sorted out and they directed me to Commissionaires. I have seen some people on here mentioning them as well. They are like the middle men that will get you your RCMP criminal record check. you need to get fingerprinted because apparently now you need the federal RCMP check as some rule has changed recently. I have been offered a new teaching position at a different school and am going to get my CRC done this week... apparently we need 2 now (and 2 notarized degree copies)? another new rule. So i truly understand the frustration you are going through. Please keep your head up!!! |

| All police checks in Canada are national checks. In the US, they are not. This is why Korea demands all this pain in the butt checking. Go to your local police and get a check in Canada. Get it stamped by the Korean embassy or consulate and you are good to go. |
