| Lots of guys have come here to work as 3D workers in order to save money to start a successful business in their home country or put their kids through university, some of whom became doctors and lawyers. Unless you've got a feelgood story like that to tell, your odds of winning are pretty slim I would think. |
Exactly, it's just standard nationally-backed morale-boosting propaganda.
Every country does something like this I think. |

I love Korea because it makes you so miserable. The more miserable you are the happier I am.
|
Pathetic. Does it make you love your Korean kids more, too? |

| I love going to hofs and having fried chicken and beer. That is my favorite thing about Korea. |

The only thing bad about them is that they're open so late. Hard to get my fried chicken fix early in the day here. |

I love Korea because it gives me a laugh reading Dave's and watching apologists try to defend it to new foreigners as they come and go year after year.
Yearly new crop of foreigners: MAN THIS SUCKS!
Same old life-long Dave's apologists... same old return comments. |
I love Korea because it gives me a laugh reading Dave's and watching whiners blindly deny facts and attempt to speak not only for the majority of teachers but also foreigners.
The number of foreigners LIVING and working in Korea continues to grow yearly (about 3% now). The vast majority are not even teachers and most come from different countries than NETs yet whiners egocentrically claim to speak for them.

I'll agree with you. A dash of culture shock, a spoonful of ethnocentrism, and a bucket of immaturity makes for an interesting recipe...evidence of which is readily found in this forum. |
