Sorry if this has already been posted and answered but I couldn't find anything.

Most metropolitan cities offer laundry service by the lb or kg for a relatively reasonable price. I've only been to local mom and pop places that charge 1,000-5,000 per piece depending on the type of clothing.

Is there any places that offer cleaning by the kg? I was just in Thailand and was extremely spoiled by the 3 hour express service for 1 dollar per KG.

I know I wont find that here, but is there any places that offer anything similar?

I live in Gangdong-Gu if that helps.

And before you say just do the laundry myself, my washing machine takes 3.5 hours to do one load and doesn't even do a good job. Then takes a few years to dry. Plus it only fits a few pieces in at once. Such a pain in the arse!

Thanks!

Everywhere I have seen is done by the piece... Maybe the person before you had the washing machine on weird settings? Maybe get a Korean friend or coworker to help you out... If all else fails, ask your boss about the problem... it might be broken... Mine takes just over an hour for a full-to-the-brim load, so there's definitely something up with yours...

Hope that helps and good luck!

Thanks for the response. The settings aren't in Korean they are just pictures.

I have confirmed with the building manager about the
Time and he said that's just the way it is.

Thanks for confirming what I expected about no other service. Maybe I will think about replacing the current one if I stay in the current place.

Thanks again

i get my laundry done at a mom and pop place by the kg, so those services definitely exist.

for those who's time is more valuable than waiting for a machine to wash and dry your clothing, hanging it up, folding it, matching socks, etc., it's an invaluable service.
