I have one of those static shock collars to prevent excessive barking. The thing retails for 110,000 won. It worked on my stubborn dog (after spraying with water and assorted other methods didn't) and now he's pretty quiet, for the most part. It fits smaller dogs (mine is 5kg) but there's room on the collar to fit slightly larger dogs. I picked up a brand new battery, and am looking to sell it for 50k (non negotiable,) which I think is a more than fair price. Yes, I hated zapping him, but my dog trainer back home said that it's a smart last resort. We had to move apartments because of his barking, and this did the trick. If anyone's interested, please send me a PM. I'm in Incheon, but am willing to ship it. |

I know. I have all the books, and I've trained dogs in the past. I watch the Dog Whisperer religiously. The current little dude is one stubborn little boy. The collar worked, though. Now, we use a sonic whistle collar. He barks, it emits a high-pitched sound, and he stops. When I left, he used to bark for a minimum of 5 minutes. The same when someone walked past our door. Now, he barks once or twice, and shuts up. We only use that one when we're out. When home, we just give the warning command and he stops or gets sprayed with water. He's much better, now, after a month with the shock collar, so I figured I'd sell it at less than half price if anyone else is having issues. Landlords evict or don't renew leases because of issues like this.
Hell, I know 3 people (1 Canadian and 2 Koreans) here who have had the vocal chord surgery performed on their dogs to shut them up. I could never do that, but the equivalent of a rubberband snap (I tested the collar on myself) is much more humane, and a fast teacher!
Anyway, it's 50k with a brand new battery, if anyone needs it.
EDIT: It's been sold. |
