Has this happened to anyone else?
I've been banking for 4 years and today I got the BSOD (thank goodness it was inside a Virtual Machine) but it was really weird... no other programs were running inside windows other than IE8.0 |

4 years is a long time to be running a computer. maybe you should have given it a little break after 3. |

It was probably due to thousands of active-x plugins Korean banking web sites insist you install through internet explorer. Apparently they have no concept of the secure server protocol in Korea.
Also, why are you running internet explorer 8? IE 9 is out for 7/Vista and is a vastly superior browser. It's every bit as fast, standards compliant, stable and secure as Chrome (for time being) and it works with those silly active-x plugins you can't avoid in Korea. If you're using XP still (another love affair with an outdated piece of software Korea has) then you're in dire need of an upgrade. |
