This thread has over 1000 replies and over 50,000 views.
It's a good indication of the massive oversupply of esl teachers who are in/want to be in Korea and why salaries will keep stagnating or going lower. The prospects are bleak.
Seriously folks, esl jobs in Korea are not worth fighting over. Build up your careers at home.
I have never seen a thread with this many replies and views over such a vanilla topic such as EPIK.
Sad. |

I am supposed to start in April (in Busan). I got in touch with my recruiter two days ago and she said that EPIK is processing my NOA and visa package. She expects them to send it within two weeks. So hopefully it's a good sign for all of us who are supposed to start in April.
I'm still nervous and wonder if this is really going to happen or not since it's so late in the game?! :/ |

If these people had 'careers at home' why in the world would they be coming to Korea? More useful advice: go to China instead

Like any long-term thread, most of those come from a relative handful of people obsessively checking it over and over until they either give up or actually get here and start teaching, at which time they quit posting entirely and are replaced by a new crop who start checking it over and over....so I don't think this is really emblematic of much of anything. |

Hi guys
for those starting in April, I recieved an email from my recruiter saying my contract and NOA has been sent. I should hopefully recieve them sometime this week! If I hadn't recieved that email either today or tomorrow I would get slightly worried as we only have a month to go now.
I shouldn't worry too much, if they said you have a place then I'm pretty sure it's gaurenteed.
Nermin94- did u apply direct?? also you don't happen to be from the UK do you?! |
