Hi everyone, Im starting work in Sungil middle school in seongnam beside sujin station on subway line no.8 in 2 weeks time, i lived in Iksan last year and i dont really know the area im moving here to be closer to seoul and also because its a public school position as opposed to a hagwan
Can anyone give me any info on the area for food, gym, sports teams? Nightlife etc... Seongnam is bigger then Iksan so i assumed there would be alot of foriegn teachers there but i cant find a group of teachers on facebook or on the forums? Thanks in advance |

ttompatz meant to check Facebook groups for Bundang.
Bundang is in Seongnam.
Think of it as a district inside of a city. You can travel to Bundang easily. Just take subway line 8 one stop to the Bundang subway line and you are there. Bundang district limits start at Moran (I believe) and go all the way south to Jukjeon (maybe only Ori). Most foreigners hang out around Seohyeon Station (서현). There are gyms everywhere. Check Facebook for sports teams as there are many teams for many types of sports. Many good restaurants around Seohyeon Station. |

Sorry I can't link it, but search 'Bundang social club' on Facebook.
Travelers Pub, Dublin, and 210 are the main bars at Seohyun. I like Travelers, but check them all out. |

I also live in Seongnam, at Taepyeong, so welcome to the neighborhood! The BSC page on facebook is helpful. There're posts on buying/selling and events going on in the area. If you are female there's also a bundang ladies social I recommend. |

Most of the action is near Seohyun and Jongja. There's a Butterfinger Pancakes near Jongja although there are plenty of other places to eat in that area. Near Yatap, there's a Legend of Bbyong which has the best Korean Chinese food I've had. |
