Right, yeah, everything is written on the Internet, how stupid of me. Aside from the fact epik won't tell the teachers they reject the reason.
I know of 8 very qualified and experienced teachers rejected by epik, the people working in the region in question are all young, no experience, no qualifications, do the math. Most of these same 8 people are working in public schools after being hired directly. |

So you know of 8 people out of the 30,000 odd teachers on E-2 visas (to say nothing of the F-series visa people who teach).
That's hardly a compelling statistic to say the least. |

That wasn't so hard with a little help from google.
The pay is NOT significantly different then from someone without a BS in Education (give or take 100,000).
OP, with your qualifications, I would try Hong Kong's NET scheme...better pay (although higher living standards) and besides work experience, you have what they desire.
No need to waste feelings/frustrations with recruiters. If one fails, on to the next. Remember, they are losing you, not the other way around. |

Yeah I hate that argument ploy too. I mean when they demand a link for something that is obvious.
There is such a thing as common sense. Common knowledge. And you don't need stats for that, just a brain. |

| Recruiters are interchangeable, one is no better than the other. Use them, don't let them use you. |

Yes. And use of common sense/knowledge and brain would lead one to the conclusion that making sweeping statements based on one's individual experience is pretty foolish to say the least. |

| Is your resume written in crayon or something? I can't imagine a run-of-the-mill recruiter flatout rejecting anyone. |

Why take it so personal?
Just like I don't end up working with many recruiters that want to place me, I don't expect every recruiter to want to work with me.
Apply to lots of places and you'll figure out what your value is. |

| Some things never change, the usual idiots still inhabit Dave's Cafe. This is after being one of the first native speakers to educate in S.Korea during the high speed recruitment drive of NETS in early 2000. Ballerina: Words of advice, persist and you will get a job. Keep searching you will find a job. I did and I am past the 35 years of age level. But I am a registered teacher in my home country so that helped me. Keep searching and you will get a job. Ignore the 20 something idiots on Daves. The best of luck to you and keep your chin up, you will find a job. |
