I posted here before about going to Korea on an E2, leaving before getting an ARC, but wanting to come back. I was told I have to wait the year for my visa to expire before I can receive a new one.
What I'm not sure is what the exact date my visa expires on. I called the Korean Consulate and they didn't help me at all.
I'm an American on a 13 month E2. Does my E2 expire 13 months from the day I entered Korea? Or does it expire on the date of final entry stamped in my passport?
I need to figure out how to time things to get my documents when I want to go back. |

It will say on your visa.
there are a couple of entries.
number of entries S(ingle) or M(ultiple).
If single then the simple fact of leaving will cancel the visa.
If M AND it was not stamped "canceled" or "void" when you left then 13 months from date of issue.
one possible exception would be if it had a separate entry for expiry date - the date when the visa itself expires - that is different from the other dates.
Scan it or take a photo of it and e-mail it to me ( ttompatz at yahoo dot com) and I can give you a more specific answer rather than the if/then choices here.
