Hi Guys,
I want to know whether a pre-paid cell or a contracted cell is a good buy for me:
I should be staying in Seoul for another 2-6 months; I have an ARC.
I want something basic (lots of phone calls and texts only)
I want to make calls and texts to the US.
What is the most cost-effective option? |

Pre-Paid phone.
Specifically, look into the Myline PPP service. |

For calling America, it's probably cheaper to use a VOIP service. With Skype for example, you can make calls from your computer (or smart phone via wifi or data plan) to a phone in America for quite low rates. You can also send messages to American cell phones. Skype is a lot cheaper than actually making a long distance calls directly from your phone.
I'm not sure if most companies will make a phone contract for less than a year. I'm not sure though. Ask around to check what offers are available. |
