|
|
I have yet to figure out what bus to take from Gangnam to Itaewon. That website with the bus routes on it is no use; it hasn't been updated in years, and many of the bus numbers and routes have changed. I like to go up to Itaewon for the food, but I hate taking the subway and having to transfer twice. What bus do you guys take from the Gangnam Station area to Itaewon? |

I think it's the 421. I haven't taken it in a while though. If you have a smart phone or iPod Touch get the Seoul Bus app, it's ace. |

Yeah, I don't have a smart phone, or I would use the app.

I think 421 is one that I found on the Seoul Metro site and looked for, but I could never find where it left from. Where is the stop? |

Bus 421 has a stop north of 강남역 (exit 7) up just past 시티극장.
Also south of the station (exit 2) two blocks just past the Seven Eleven.
It's about a 15 minute bus trip. Much better than the subway from there.

Bus stops for Blue Bue 421 are in the centre of the street either side of Gangnam Station - maybe 150m( exits 2/7) or 220m (exits 10/11 ) walking distance.

Exit 7 is south of the station now. Are you guys sure those bus stops are still there? I couldn't find them when I looked before, and it sounds like you either haven't ridden it in a while or just looked it up on an outdated map. |

Been about a year since I've been to Gangnam Stn. I'm going by Google maps and the Bus app. The Bus app I trust for the stop locations, It's updated frequently and accurate.
I checked Daum maps and they have the subway exits updated. Exit four to the south and the bus stop is on the median island. There is a crosswalk just out of exit four according to Daum maps street view that will get you there. Good luck.

I don't think there is an exit four anymore. I don't really trust any of these online maps; none of them seem to ever get it right. I'll check for those buses around the median south of the station, but has anyone actually taken a bus from Gangnam to Itaewon in the past few months? |

Can also take 402 and switch to 110 at the second stop after crossing the river... |

I have. Not to be a jerk but the median bus stops aren't that hard to find. Just walk toward Hannam Bridge from Gagnam Station and use the first crosswalk to get to the median... |

I know where the median is...I'm just saying that a website that still gives directions from Gangnam Station exit 4 may not be up to date on its bus routes either. Is it bus 421 that you take from there? |

There is an exit four. It's an exit on the 신분당 line (exits 3, 4, 5, and 6). The two line exits are (1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, and11)
Anyway, hope you find it.
Good luck.
Get a smart phone.

Have you considered using the subway to go from Gangnam to Itaewan and back? It takes two lines: Line 2 and Line 6. this works well especially when the traffic is bad. |
