|
|
My doctor just turned me on to this nasal spray called Nasonex. I have had allergies in Korea for years and they were so bad I developed nasal polyps that basically reduced my sense of smell and taste about 90%. After a couple of weeks on this stuff the polyps are gone, the allergies are gone, the stuffiness is gone. I ride a mountain bike everyday. I am exposed to all sorts of pollution, pollen, dust, exhausts. No problem.
BTW I am glad I buy it here, about 3,000원, in the USA it is over $130.00/bottle.

They also have Flonase here, if you're looking for sprays and can't get that one~
If you can't (or don't want to) take corticosterioids like Nasonex, I use Claritin, which is also easily gotten by prescription ^.^
I heard Zyrtec was available OTC for those without health insurance~
Glad to hear you're well!! ^.^ |

I was prescribed nasonex last year ( in canada) for sinus infection/ allergies aswell. Cleared me right up. Cost roughly about 100$ Canadian when i got it. The bottle ended up lasting 3 months or so.
Just be careful with nose sprays. They can be addictive especially since they work so well ( at first). The more you use them overtime the more your body adapts to this medicine and eventually doesn't work as well. can be dangerous if overused or not used as directed by your doctor... I would try to get off these cortisone steroid sprays as soon as possible ( as soon as your infection/ issue is clear) and just start using a Neti pot ( or something similar) on a daily basis to keep your nasal passage clean. |

Prescription-strength allegra from the States is what works for my allergies. Korean meds just make you sleepy. |

FDNY, do you continue to use Nasonex now that your problems are gone?
I often get a blocked nose and lose the sense of certain smells, so might give it a go.
Is it by prescription only? |

The bottle has 60 days worth of spray. It takes 1 to 2 weeks to take effect. My symptoms have just recently abated. I will finish the bottle and then see what my doctor says. It is a corticosteroid and therfore needs a prescription. Pretty amazing stuff though. |

I didn't mean addictive in the sense of a drug addict who cant stop taking hard drugs and goes into remission ... The drug has no effect on your pleasure center of the brain..
What I meant is that alot of people over use it and it becomes a crutch ! Just google nasal spray addiction, lots of people are "addicted" to nasal sprays and use it hoping for an instant "relief". I'm talking about people who use it daily for years ! Good thing nasonex requires a prescription !
No harm done if u use as prescribed . Worked great for me but I still think if you clean your nasal passage with a Neti pot you get great results. I no longer suffer the yearly allergies and no need to take any prescribed drugs anymore. Just saying . Might not work for everyone I guess |
