| I'm just wondering what the procedure with this is? I'm applying for a new positon and (understandibly) they want my schools contact information. My current school is in a bit of a bind with regards to English teachers. I'm currently teaching at an elementary school with no co-teacher. I think I will be dropping them in it if I leave in August(when my contract finishes). I'm just worried my prospective new employers will call the school and if I don't get the job I will be given the cold shoulder at my current school. I'm thinking of just giving the number of my main co teacher for 2 years who is on maternity leave. I want to be discreet as possible about this or is best just to come clean and say I'm looking to leave in August? I would stay at the school if didn't get the position so I don't want to burn my bridges. |

| Yeah, getting your co-teacher to talk to them is best... All they're looking for is a reference, so it shouldn't be a big deal. And just remind her not to mention anything to anyone at the school, and you should be fine ^.^ |

Yeah but my current gig is pretty sweet. No co-teacher and only teaching 6th grade who I see three times a week. So 21 classes a week and 4 after school classes at 30 bucks a pop. Don't want to left hung out to dry and get stuck at some dodgy hagwon.
Before you ask why Im leaving if it's such a sweet gig this new job would give me a massive pay bump and allow me to live more centrally in Seoul. |
