The best way to win is ignore her, do your job, and enjoy yourself while you're at it.

Don't let her get to you. Laugh at her playground-level childishness and get on with your job. A lot of these women have the emotional maturity of a 12 year old.

That's because management trumps co-teachers. It's like second hand smoke, you think it isn't bad for you but it is.

I had better co-teachers at public schools than the private/hagwon ones.

I don't think many hagwons have co-teachers. Anyway, it's not really relevant; I don't even really remember what this argument was about.

as for salaries of hagwons v public school - i do quite nicely with my overtime and after school classes actually! And I dont have to put up with 5 minutes a year as 'vacation' but I also know I am very lucky with nice coteachers and well beahved kids in a fairly posh public school - others are very very different.

Its down to the individual - I worked in a hagwon in japan 'juku' and at the time it was OK but I wouldn't do it now - each to their own. Different strokes for different folks...I know some people who think my job sounds like a nightmare having to deal with teenagers at 8am!
