Mainly from family or close friends?
My parents don't even approach the subject but my sister has started recently. Not so much marriage but the fact that I avoid serious relationships. That I am "wasting my life" by remaining single in my 30's. |

Maybe they just want you to be as miserable as they are? Okay, I do know some married couples that seem to be happy, but they are few and far between. Unfortunately.
When I was younger, I did not even think about getting married. Now that I'm getting older (and hopefully wiser), I think I want to get married one day. But since most women want children and I definitely don't.... I may end up living with a cat or two.

In a teachers' English class recently the other, married, teachers were asking my co-teacher (Korean age 25) why she isn't married yet. It's bizarre. She only left uni a year and a half ago. She's a lovely girl so I hope she doesn't end up marrying some douchebag because of pressure from family and coworkers
They also asked me what my ideal type of woman is to marry. I was at a loss. I wonder what Korean guys in their mid twenties say to those sort of questions? I could hardly be honest and say big *beep* and low self esteem |

Cats are more loving. And cheaper. |

And only live about 16 years.
And are much quieter.
And cuter. |

"Why stop at two?" Haha!
As much as I do like cats, I think I'd still prefer to live with the right woman than any number of cats. Okay, sharing my life with a smart caring woman AND one or two cats would definitely be even better!
Cats are rather easy to come by, but women... not so easy... or cheap. |

Maybe not as stupid as it seems. It could be a subtle question trying to determine if someone isn't married because they are in the closet. |

Take it from a married guy who heard that crap from Koreans and other married foreigners who were probably just jealous....
If you are not planning on having kids, and really don't want to marry, then DO NOT get married. Especially to a Korean.
Don't listen to the idiots who pressure and push. They're a mixture of:
1. Jealous people who wish they were single.
2. People who get stressed over single women getting older and not having men to marry because they have lost their beauty.
3. People who may be happy in marriage, but have no concept of someone NOT being happy in marriage.
4. People who are selfish and just want you to marry and probably have kids so they can enjoy them.
There are others, too, but that's the jist of it. |
