Is your resume written in crayon or something? I can't imagine a run-of-the-mill recruiter flatout rejecting anyone. |
I was rejected by many run of the mill recruiters before I got a job. Just keep on trying with different recruiters. Who knows why they rejected you and why should anyone care when it comes to getting a job. Just keep trying. Someone is likely to get you a job. If I were you I would only try to get public school jobs through a recruiter especially your first time in Korea. |

It certainly is, look at the number of qualified teachers with years of experience who get rejected, most new epik teachers are straight from uni with just a BA. |
Just tell them the answers they want to hear on the phone, sound niave, tell them how much you love Korea, and be flexible in your location. Also, there are many other recruiters who hire directly for provinces any time of year. Shouldn't be a problem. Knew a 50 something guy who worked in a small town hakwon who was really outgoing and personable. He tried to apply for EPIK in 2010 during the peak of the recession and kept facing discrimination. So, he went to Taiwan and loves it. He was also an experienced and certified teacher. They pay a little more for their NET scheme but it's not as intensive of competitive as Hong Kong would be. |

I don't know, likely a google search. But if you're interested in doing that, a good place to start your research is here:

I got rejected by a recruiter. I pushed him to the side and worked with the next recruiter waiting in line behind them.
If you feel like you need to work with a recruiter, there are plenty in supply. |

I had the same thing happen last year. 2 years in Korea, 2 years in America teaching, BS in Education with certification in ESL. One of the "better" recruiters gave me no reason and told me no. I flipped, sent letters to more recruiters in desperation and prepped for the trip home. Two days later I had a job.
Don't worry, eventually one of them will realize that if they DO land you a job, their bonus is bigger. |

Right, yeah, everything is written on the Internet, how stupid of me.. |
Yeah I hate that argument ploy too. I mean when they demand a link for something that is obvious.
There is such a thing as common sense. Common knowledge. And you don't need stats for that, just a brain. |
True, not everything is linked, but if there are a pack of asshats flocking around spreading rumors of rumors of half-truths, then "link?" is an acceptable rebuke in my book. |
