Hi, just curious has anyone gone on the weekend diving trips that Aquatic Frontier offer? How were they? Thinking of going next weekend and would like some info.

Can anyone recommend other places to go open water diving in Korea apart from Jeju? Preferably within a couple of hours of Seou.

There really aren't that many options for English speaking dive operations in Korea. You have Aquatic Frontier, Deep Blue Quest (Paju), Busan Scuba (Busan) and Big Blue 33 (Jeju). There may be one or two others, but those are the biggest shops in the country.

I've only dived with the latter 2 and would recommend Busan Scuba for trips. They usually hold weekend trips to Pohang and Uljin in the summer, which are always fun. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the shops though.

Some links:
Busan Scuba: https://www.facebook.com/seaworldbusan

Deep Blue Quest: https://www.facebook.com/DeepBlueQuest;

Find a Dive Buddy-Korea: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Findabuddy/

The latter is a group of people who dive regularly outside of shop trips. Most have their own gear and rent tanks from local Korean places.

Your options for diving in Korea are limited to Jeju, down on the South Coast (Pohang, Busan, etc) or the East Coast (Gangneung, Sokcho).

The 2 companies I recommend going with are:

Big Blue 33 in Jeju. It really is worth the trip because the diving is substantially better than on the mainland.

But if you must go on the mainland, then check out Aquatic Frontier. It's the best of the bunch, in my opinion.
