|
|
I have been with my employer for 8 months and she asked me to go to the hospital to get a second health check (I had the mandatory one when I first arrived). She told me that there has been a change to the requirements.
I can't find anything to support this, does anybody know about it? If not, any advice regarding going for a second check-up? I don't have anything to hide that I know of but it doesn't reflect well on their opinion of me and I'm not keen to foot the bill for another health check that isn't necessary.
Appreciate any help, thanks |

If you're willing to risk being fired then just tell them that you're not paying for it, and stick to that. |

It's a new rule for the Ministry of Education. I had to go do it. I made my boss pay. |

If it was me, I would try to look like I was being very co operative but cheerfully ask for the paperwork/ reason for you having to do it. Unless they can show you something reasonable, then you're busy before and after work for the forseeable future- you just need to say you're training for something, or taking lot's of classes.
Eventually they'll forget or decide it's too much hassle.

What is the new rule? Do we need check ups every 6 months, or twice a year? Or has the old criteria for health checks been changed? |

Thanks tgrear, does that apply for privates as well? Forgot to put that I'm at a hagwon. Anymore information on the new rules?
If it's a legal requirement then I'm fine with doing it, just want to be sure that it's not my boss snooping on the sly. |

do a search here, you'll see that the MOE wants all the stuff immig wants for hogwon teachers
regarding privates, you need to do a medical test and report to immig every month you are doing them |

New requirement for the M.O.E. This is old news. Most people had to do them two weeks ago. Some companies pay for it, others don't. That's life. |
