Just asked about rolling monthly contracts for an existing mobile phone that I own. KT are saying 55,000 for 300 mins and unlimited data (I just wanted a gig, but the highest below that is 500MB and it's only 10,000 won cheaper with only 200 minutes.)

Are KT expensive, or is that a normal price in the industry. It would cost half that in the UK on no contract for 1gb data and 300 mins. On a rolling monthly you could get double those minutes.

Should I be going to another provider or is it just a lack of competition?

I'm not sure if it would help, but I've got the 100MB SK fibre broadband service; would that allow me to get some sort of package discount if I add a mobile phone to it? |

Try U+. I believe they give double the data. Not sure though. They do have the best LTE service, however.

The reason for the state of the mess of a market the cellphone industry is a combination of overregulation and collusion. |

				| This is why I'm still holding onto my old flip phone for as long as I can, it's still only 20K per month. I can use my I-touch for apps and whatnot. |

Does the wifi egg connect to 3g networks, or only to wifi signals? (I know the question sounds stupid considering the name)

What is it eggactly? |

				| The egg connects to the Wibro network which is faster than 3G but slower than LTE. It broadcasts a WiFi signal that you can use to connect multiple devices. They work mainly in the major cities and not at all in the country/sticks. |
