With the Obama team having a little fun at the behest of Mitt Romney traveling with his pooch on the roof of his car, it seems that team O has a pooch problem of their own. Paraphrasing a commenter, at least Romney had his dog on the roof of his car and not the roof of his mouth!

And Romney was an adult enroute from Boston to Canada,
While Obama a child in Indonesia. Not exactly apples to apples.

Anyway, I'd rather be a dog in America than a cow in India. Cows in India are not as revered as dogs in some parts of North America.

Placing a dog in an appropriately ventilated carrier that is securely strapped to the roof a car is much safer than how the vast majority of people transport their pets by car.

Putting dog in the diet seems healthier than adding partisan propaganda outrage.

actually the only ones with the problem are the tea baggers who would go after the (long ago past) acts of a 9 year old and try to make them a political issue in the present.

Romney's actions towards the family pet was foolish, arrogant and certainly borderline pet abuse. further more he was a mature adult when he did it.

I can't even imagine how the kids must have felt, seeing the family dog up there like that. what a tool.

Actually the ones with the problems are the left wing loons who would go after the sterling reputation of a normal guy on vacation and try to make it a political issue in the present.

Obama's actions toward mans best friend were cruel plain and simple. It is improper to stick your fork in fido, no matter what your age. Also, he and his family were representing america in a foriegn country at the time (his mother worked at the embassy.)

I can't imagine how outraged people will be, knowing that Obama took a bite out of Mgruff. What a tool.

Quite right.
Then there is always the "Vacation" method. Wink

Electing the President and Executive of a nation of 300 million people, and we're talking about how they treat dogs.

This article is relevant: Many Americans won't learn the most rudimentary facts about the people running for office and the policy issues

Quote:
Some of us will jump to believe any half-baked rumor or stereotype that confirms our prejudices.

We'll vote to reward or punish incumbents for events that they have nothing to do with. Some voters won't even find out the names of the people running for many offices. In short, the citizenry as a whole will carry out what looks like a giant cartoon parody of democracy.

. . .

Can widespread political ignorance be cured? Probably not -- though, as Somin argues, we can minimize its effects through simple, transparent institutions and decentralized power, which reduce the amount of knowledge voters need. But however serious the flaws of popular government, we really have no alternative.

No, they weren't.

*shrug* They're both clowns anyway. Might as well have a little fun until a serious candidate comes along, right? Confused

I don't care if Obama ate dog or Romney put a dog in a carrier on the roof of his car, or even if either one ate dog on the roof of his car.

The sad part is that some wags will try to use these meaningless events for political gain instead of focusing on the issues.

The sadder part is that these dog tales will have an effect on some observers and some voters.

He still doesn't get what is wrong with tying your dog to the roof in a crate and travelling at 65 miles an hour, despite all of the articles. The only thing he sees wron with it is that it did not give him good press.
Exactly the same reaction he had with the lawncare company, saying he couldn't have "illegals" working on his property because he was "running for office, for pete's sake."

Nothing is ever about right or wrong or having integrity, it's all about what the public will think when he gets caught.

Evil, evil people. They make George and Laura Bush look like saints

That's a horrible description of what happened and a horrible misunderstanding of canine vehicular safety. "Placing a dog in an appropriately ventilated carrier that is securely strapped to the roof a car is much safer than how the vast majority of people transport their pets by car."

Obama can eat dog or whatever else he wants. He brings diversity to the table and is the first Halfrican in the White House.

Regardless of the whole dog-drama crap and who you think hates dogs more, it would be a much better idea to educate yourself and then hopefully also your friends/family/neighbors to the fact that Washington politics has become (or, as many very convincingly argue, has pretty much always been) a bipartisan Rolling Eyes sociopathic kabuki theater designed to dupe the Great Unwashed.

If you can't see this, you'd better get up to speed.

So Romney requested this from Obama's team?
