wow, looks like this thread took off from my last viewing

idk, but for me, i do agree that Actors, Directors, Cast, Crew, etc. DO deserve to get paid for being the best of their profession (and they DO work very hard)

i mean to imagine a world without some of the great films would be a bland world

entertainment should cost something but could actors, directors, cast, and crew LIVE without their huge paychecks yes

i firmly believe that freedom of information is a good thing. i also believe that great films that some of the less fortunate, which is becoming a greater number in many countries, would never have been able to enjoy such great films w/out piracy

to those who have the means to buy EVERY single song off of iTunes or any other "pay" site along w/Movies, and other forms of entertainment, more power to you but not EVERYONE is on a level financial playing field, and piracy, at its core is to allow information to be available to the masses, no one forces you to pirate something

if it bothers you, keep on paying for every type of entertainment you enjoy Movies, Music, TV, etc. etc., just remember that not everyone might be as fortunate as you and to ride on a mighty horse would seem foolish

sorry for the rant but i would like to throw my opinion into this argument

Anyone know the story behind it?

piratebay are still in full effect. Anyone know any other decent alternatives? I preferrd btjunkie's layout but found that piratebay had pretty much everything btjunkie had, even the same users and peers for each download etc.

i just use torrentz.com
